I left early to enjoy the morning coolness. I drove along Route 241 towards Guardalavaca. The road was beautiful. I stopped along the way to buy a mango and asked the price. He told me it was 1 CUC per kilo. I said I'd only like to buy one! He replied that it was free! I then asked him to cut the mango and gave him 20 CUC, which is about $1 CAD. People are generous!
I continue on my way and I meet a coconut seller...I am thirsty...I fill my water bottle with coconut water.
Finally, I'm going to visit Patrick and Josée, who are staying at a hotel on the Costa Verde. (Friends I met the day before on the plane.) Luckily, I manage to get around the security guards by taking a path that runs alongside the hotel. I finally get to see the sea!!! Thank you, Michel Rivard!
I walk for several minutes on the beach and finally I spot Patrick and Josée who are on the beach...

The rest was highly unlikely: I decided to stay with them for a day at the hotel. Patrick and Josée are welcoming and very friendly people.
Beautiful day after riding 60 km today. Lovely evening with Pat and Jo!!!
Tomorrow is another day! What will happen? To be continued...
